Tutor Selection Criteria

What We Look For When Selecting Tutors

Because we are serious about providing the highest quality tutoring services to our clients, all Lifetime Learners tutors:

grammar Must be passionate about education
vocabulary Must be patient to maximize the learning potential of children and adults of all levels and abilities.
organisation Must be reliable, punctual and able to work wtihout supervision
consistence of argument Must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
formatting Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident^ or a New Zealand Citizen
formatting Must be able to commit to at least 4 hours per week, outside school hours
formatting Must have their own transport
formatting Must be prepared to travel up to 30 minutes for tutoring
references Must meet Statutory Working With Children Check requirements in their State or Territory
references Must meet Lifetime Learners' rigourous English proficiency and Qualifications standards


Additional criteria apply depending on whether you are a qualified teacher, a university graduate or a university student.

^ If you are not a citizen of Australia or New Zealand, you will be required to give us permission to perform a Visa Eligibility Verification Online (VEVO) check so that we can establish your work rights in Australia before we can employ you.
